I am SO selfish with these pencils! I've never been able to write with mechanical pencils, and most of those found in the big-box stores are cheap. They write and feel cheap. These warm in the hand, sharpen beautifully, and are neither too hard nor too soft. The fragrance is a lovely bonus, and they wonderfully grip the ivory cotton 32lb. paper I typically write on. The erasers are good quality, and I'd love to see replacement erasers (in case you ever seek suggestions). I'm a customer for life!
These are, simply, the best pencil you can buy. The wonderful cedar smell is an extra gift, but the quality of these instruments is the best available. And they're made in Jersey City, USA!
My favourite pencil, I buy them 5 boxes at a time here in the uk. A perfect object, classic, and made in the USA. I love them.
Old teacher here. I Won't use anything else. I've walked all the way back to room to grab one. Great easer and more important they feel good in the hand. Nothing better and I tried them all.
I love these pencils! I just received my order yesterday and I'm in love. They smell amazing! I love how dark the line is. I can feel how much smoother it is than my cheap dollar store #2 pencils. The quality is apparent. I showed how they write to my wife right next to the dollar store version and my wife was convinced that they were worth the extra cost.
These are my favorite pencils. Period. Quality shows, and the erasers don't turn to stone before you're finished with the pencil. And.they're MADE IN USA. What could be better?
This is the best American Made pencil hands down. You need to get these into the schools. Those Ticonderoga's are now made in China and are really awful. You can take over the school pencil world!!!!
Make it happen. I spread the word about this pencil on pencil blogs I see.
I really appreciate the quality here!
My all time favorite pencil for everyday use. It feels good, looks good, writes smooth. And MOST important, they always sharpen well . . . no off center weirdo lead placement in these pencils, never ever found a single dud. I have a really old "General" pencil pocket clip that I've moved from pencil to pencil since the 1960's. Would you guys consider producing them again. It's so handy to have a pocket clip that covers the point and those long ones were absoluely excellent. Wouldn't mind having some new 2 piece bullet pencils with a really good eraser, either. U could make the cap have a stylus tip.
I am a pen user. A classmate brought us a pencil each from her presentation. It's so smooth and the eraser is so effective (the reasons I usually use a pen) I am going to use these from now on.
Picked these up in hobby lobby, and my writing has improved ever since. That being due to the pure joy that encroaches whenever I pick up my pencil. It is nearly time to get more, and I know just which General I want on my side.
These are very good quality cedar wood pencils. The lead is good and the pencil gives off a nice cedar odor. Eraser is also good and I would recommend this pencil for general writing or drawing use.
